8. Information About Other People

If you provide Mod Squad Capital with information about another person for purposes such as an introduction, referral, or business opportunity, you are responsible for ensuring that you are authorized to provide that information.

Provide only information reasonably necessary for the intended business purpose.

Members of Mod Squad OS may recommend a founder, a company, or a prospective advisor to us, or introduce a potential customer to one of our portfolio companies, through the platform. We use what a member tells us about that person only to consider the recommendation or introduction, to contact or invite them, to let the founder concerned prepare and follow up, and to credit the member who made it. An introduction comes with a private link to a short page about the founder; the page shows the person nothing about themselves and records only that it was opened and whether they asked to meet. The member sends the introduction from their own mailbox; we do not email the person and do not add them to any list. If we do not proceed, or the member withdraws the recommendation, we remove that person's contact details and the member's notes about them twelve months after that decision, and keep only the record that a recommendation was made, by whom, and its outcome.
